Wed Aug 20, 2: My problem is that I’ve tried to upgrade the firmware and I upgraded with a different version and now my player is DEAD.

I have managed to fix the problem by using Windows I mean your computer should allocate a drive letter to the player and you should see it under Ditipod Computer as a USB disk.

But i cannot see the screen.

My first problem is that the PC could not recognize it. I don’t know anybody who does. My player is dead and i connected to usb port and installed ADFU driver ,p4 it shows ur hardware is ready to use, but it does not show drive letter. Please help thank you!

And ‘more firmwares will follow later’ I’m talking about this player. Sat Apr 28, 1: So I followed the red part of the guide. If you know the version number then look for that version.

I dismounted it and makes all the procedure to repair it with another firmware but I think that I will need this version of the firmware absolutely: Or have I reached the end of the road – took me several hours to get this far.

Sat Feb 17, 6: Sun Jan 21, 4: Ive tried to do the step in red as well. However my mp4 player is basically only a flash drive.

Thanks tadad1 and all I’ve tryed to do a lot of resets and restarts but without any lucky. If anyone has any ideas, please send me a private message.

I will post pics of it soon. XX series until you find one that xigipod your player out of ADFU mode and reconnects as a removable device in Explorer.

I tried lots of different firmwares v9.

If your player is detected as a USB device then you will have to follow the next steps in Red. Regarding the recovery, the firmware you have flashed in is not compatible, thus disabling your player again.

When I try installing the driver it says ‘the specified location does not contain information about your hardware’. This morning I started to do what you said. My question is, since my computer is already somehow detecting it, and the screen is lighting up, will these step help or is it only for the players that dont’ turn djgipod. Remove the 4 screws 2 on either side of your player.
