SOLVED: Audio drivers for a7v8x-mx se – Fixya

Anyway, I know a couple of them had this problem. Well, several kernel compiles later – with different options – and no change – still no sound – or at least, not the right sound.

I really don’t have a straight answer to your a7v8s-mx, and googling didn’t help either. I’ve just rebuilt my machine using WindowsXP professional and for some reason ther is now no sound coming from my p. I have tried both 2.

Gentoo Forums Forum Index Ssound. The failure of other distro’s Knoppix, MEPIS that use alsa lead me to suspect it is an alsa problem, and not a Gentoo specific problem.

Please help it’s really getting annoying now, it’s been more than a week and I’m lost without the sound.

I’ve checked for latest drivers and installed them also Can somebody help me?? At first it was connected to the motherboard and at the frontpanel I had sound. I don’t remember off the top of my a7v8xmx but the first one that pops to mind is the motherboard on the W1N asus laptop. I don’t know if I need an audio driver or if I need to update my bios.
