Overview
With many different varieties planted in our five vineyards, and with our Kindergarten experimental winery, Brown Brothers produce many high quality wines in quantities too small to make available for general release. These have become a special feature of Cellar Door, and are released under the Cellar Door label. Visitors to Milawa can try these wines available nowhere else, from a range which includes limited releases of new varietals, experimental batches and optimum aged wines. Read more

Cellar Door and Epicurean Centre (restaurant)
With many different varieties planted in our five vineyards, and with our Kindergarten experimental winery, Brown Brothers produce many high quality wines in quantities too small to make available for general release. These have become a special feature of Cellar Door, and are released under the Cellar Door label. Visitors to Milawa can try these wines available nowhere else, from a range which includes limited releases of new varietals, experimental batches and optimum aged wines.
Located adjacent to the Cellar Door at Milawa, the Epicurean Centre is a restaurant where you can enjoy sumptuous dishes created to complement the flavours and complexities of Brown Brothers wines.
The à la carte menu is available from 11am to 3pm daily with entrée sized serves allowing you to enjoy a number of dishes - savoury or sweet. Each course includes a glass of Brown Brothers wine which has been matched to the dish, taking the guesswork out of wine and food matching for you.
The menu is changed each season to reflect availability of freshness of produce and to allow for new wine releases to be showcased.
For lovers of wine and food this will be an experience and occasion to remember. The stunning surrounds of the Milawa Vineyard only adding to the enjoyment.
We accept bookings for large groups by appointment, and wine and food dinners can also be catered for on request.

Vineyards
Brown Brothers’ quest to bring to the world a diverse range of wine styles means that for over 30 years we have gone to extraordinary lengths to grow individual wine varieties in the right location. Our soil, and where it is located, is a defining factor in our wines.
Mystic park est. 1968
Mystic Park vineyard is located in the sun drenched Murray Valley, halfway between Kerang and Swan Hill. It is our warmest growing site and has become crucial in the development of wine styles unique to Brown Brothers, including Orange Muscat and Flora, Dolcetto, Tarrango and Cienna. The warm ripening seasons mean the wines develop intense richness and depth of flavour.
Heathcote est. 1999
The Heathcote vineyard is located in rolling hills that form part of the Mt Camel range on the northern edge of the Heathcote region in central Victoria. The Heathcote region is forging its reputation as a premium red wine area and is home to our Shiraz, Merlot, Durif, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Milawa est. 1885
Our Milawa vineyard, the birth place of the Brown Brothers company, has a very special place in our hearts and plays an important role in producing fruit for some of our renowned wines such as the Patricia Noble Riesling, Shiraz Mondeuse & Cabernet and Dolcetto.
Banksdale est. 1994
The Banksdale vineyard is situated between our Whitlands and Milawa vineyards in the King Valley. The site was carefully chosen to suit cooler climate grape varieties, being midway between the chill factor of Whitlands and the warmer valley floor. It produces wonderful fruit for our Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Tempranillo wines.
Whitlands est. 1982
Located up the road in the upper reaches of the King Valley, Whitlands is one of Australia’s highest and coolest vineyards. Whitlands has the most stunning vistas and is renowned for being the home to Brown Brothers’ award winning sparkling wine varieties Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, as well as Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc – varieties that thrive in cool climates.
